The Garga-samhita Verse 1.5.16, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. अयं तु राज-राजेन्द्रः
पृथुः पृथुल-विक्रमः
कथं वरो भवेन् नो वै
तद् वद त्वं महा-मुने

ayaṃ tu rāja-rājendraḥ
pṛthuḥ pṛthula-vikramaḥ
kathaṃ varo bhaven no vai
tad vada tvaṃ mahā-mune

ayamHe; tu—indeed; rāja—of kings; rāja—of kings; indraḥ—the king;

English translation of verse 1.5.16:

pṛthuḥPṛthu; pṛthula-vikramaḥ—very powerful; katham—how?; varaḥ—

husband; bhaven—may be; naḥ—of us; vai—certainly; tat—that; vada—tell;

tvam—you; mahā-mune—O great sage.

"O great sage, please tell us how powerful Pṛthu, the king of the kings of kings, may become our husband."
