ताश् च देवल-वाक्येन
तपस् तेपुर् हिमाचले
भक्त्या परमया ता मे
गोप्यो भाव्या व्रजे विधे

tāś ca devala-vākyena
tapas tepur himācale
bhaktyā paramayā tā me
gopyo bhāvyā vraje vidhe

tāḥ—they; ca—also; devala—of Devala Muni; vākyena—by the words; tapas tepuḥ—performed austerities; himācale—in the Himalayas; bhaktyā—with devotion; paramayā—great; tāḥ—they; me—My; gopyaḥ—gopīs; bhāvyāḥ—will be; vraje—in Vraja; vidhe—O Brahmā.

English translation of verse 1.5.5:

On Devala Muni's advice with great devotion to Me they performed austerities in the Himalayas. O Brahmā, they will become gopīs in Vraja.
