The Garga-samhita Verse 1.5.4, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 5 (The Lord’s Appearance) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

यज्ञावतारं रुचिरं
रुचि-पुत्रं दिवस्-पतिम्
मोहिताः प्रतिभावेन
वीक्ष्य देव-जन-स्त्रियः

yajñāvatāraṃ ruciraṃ
ruci-putraṃ divas-patim
mohitāḥ pratibhāvena
vīkṣya deva-jana-striyaḥ

yajñā—as; avatāram—incarnation; ruciram—handsome; ruci-putram—the son of Ruci; divaḥ—of the heavenly planets; patim—the master; mohitāḥ—charmed;

English translation of verse 1.5.4:

prīti-bhāvena—with love; vīkṣya—seeing; deva-jana-striyaḥ—the demigoddesses.

When the saw handsome Yajña-avatāra, who is the son of Ruci and the master of the heavenly planets, the demigoddesses were overcome with love for Him.
