The Garga-samhita Verse 1.4.59, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 4 (Description of Questions About the Lord’s Appearance) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

अथ रामो वानरेन्द्रै
रावणादीन् निशाचरान्
जित्वा लङ्काम् एत्य सीता-
पुष्पकेन पुरं ययौ

atha rāmo vānarendrai
rāvaṇādīn niśācarān
jitvā laṅkām etya sītā-
puṣpakena puraṃ yayau

athathen; rāmaḥRāma; vānaraof monkeys; indraiḥ—with the kings; rāvaṇa-ādīn—beginning with rāvaṇa; niśācarān—demons, who move in the night; jitvā—defeating; laṅkām—Laṅkā; etyagoing; sītāSītā; puṣpakena—on a flower-chariot; puramto His own city; yayau—went.

English translation of verse 1.4.59:

Then, aided by the monkey-kings, Rāma defeated the nocturnal demons headed by Rāvaṇa, entered Laṅkā and, on a flower-chariot carrying Sītā, returned to His own city.
