ऊचुस् ते ऽयं नु गोपालो
वंशी-वेत्रे विना प्रभुः
इत्थं विचार्य मनसा
नेमुश् चक्रुः स्तुतिं पराम्
ūcus te 'yaṃ nu gopālo
vaṃśī-vetre vinā prabhuḥ
itthaṃ vicārya manasā
nemuś cakruḥ stutiṃ parām
ūcuḥ—said; te—they; ayam—He; nu—indeed; gopālaḥ—is Gopāla; vaṃśī—a flute; vetre—and stick; vinā—without; prabhuḥ—the Lord; ittham—thus; vicārya—thinking; manasā—with their heart; nemuḥ—bowed down; cakruḥ—did; stutim—prayers; parām—great.
English translation of verse 1.4.50:
They said, "He is Lord Gopāla, who has come without His flute and stick."
Thinking in this way in their hearts, they bowed down and offered eloquent prayers.
