मनसापि वरं रामो
ददौ ताभ्यो ह्य् अशेष-वित्
मनोरथं करिष्यामि
व्रजे गोप्यो भविष्यथ

manasāpi varaṃ rāmo
dadau tābhyo hy aśeṣa-vit
manorathaṃ kariṣyāmi
vraje gopyo bhaviṣyatha

manasāwith the heart; api—also; varamchoice; rāmaḥRāma; dadau—gave; tābhyaḥ—them; hi—indeed; aśeṣaall; vit—knowing; manoratham—desire; kariṣyāmi—I will do; vraje—in Vraja; gopyaḥ—gopīs; bhaviṣyatha—you will become.

English translation of verse 1.4.42:

In His heart all-knowing Rāma gave them this benediction: "You will become gopīs in Vraja, and then I will fulfill your desire."
