पार्षदाख्यास् तथा काश्चिच्
छ्री-वृन्दावन-पालिकाः
गोवर्धन-निवासिन्यः
काश्चित् कुञ्ज-विधायिकाः
pārṣadākhyās tathā kāścic
chrī-vṛndāvana-pālikāḥ
govardhana-nivāsinyaḥ
kāścit kuñja-vidhāyikāḥ
pārṣadā—associates; ākhyāḥ—named; tathā—so; kāścit—some; śrī-vṛndāvana—of Vṛndāvana; pālikāḥ—the protectors; govardhana—by Govardhana Hill; nivāsinyaḥ—residing; kāścit—some; kuñja—in the forest groves; vidhāyikāḥ—arranging.
English translation of verse 1.4.12:
Some of these gopī associates of the Lord protect the forest of Vṛndāvana, some reside by Govardhana Hill, and some decorate the forest groves.
