श्री-भगवान् उवाच
अर्बुदं दश-कोटीनां
मुनिभिः कथितं विधे
दशार्बुदं यत्र भवेत्
सो ऽपि यूथः प्रकथ्यते

śrī-bhagavān uvāca
arbudaṃ daśa-koṭīnāṃ
munibhiḥ kathitaṃ vidhe
daśārbudaṃ yatra bhavet
so 'pi yūthaḥ prakathyate

śrī-bhagavān uvāca—the Supreme Personality of Godhead said; arbudam—a hundred million; daśaten; koṭīnāṃ—ten million; munibhiḥ—by sages; kathitam—said; vidhe—O Brahmā; daśa—ten; arbudam—a hundred million; yatrawhere; bhavet—may be; saḥ—that; api—also; yūthaḥ—group; prakathyate—is said.

English translation of verse 1.4.10:

The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: O Brahmā, the sages say that the number one hundred million is called one arbuda. In each group there are ten arbudas (one million).
