The Garga-samhita Verse 1.3.24, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 3 (Description of the Lord’s Appearance) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-भगवान् उवाच
हे सुर-ज्येष्ठ हे शम्भो
देवाः शृणुत मद्-वचः
यादवेषु च जन्यध्वम्
अंशैः स्त्रीभिर् मद्-आज्ञया

śrī-bhagavān uvāca
he sura-jyeṣṭha he śambho
devāḥ śṛṇuta mad-vacaḥ
yādaveṣu ca janyadhvam
aṃśaiḥ strībhir mad-ājñayā

śrī-bhagavān uvāca—the Supreme Personality of Godhead said; he—O; suraof the demigods; jyeṣṭhaeldest; he—O; śambho—Śiva; devāḥ—O demigods; śṛṇuta—please hear; mad—My; vacaḥ—words; yādaveṣu—in the Yadu dynasty; ca—also; janyadhvam—please take birth; aṃśaiḥ—by partial expansions; strībhir—with your wives; mad—by My; ājñayā—order.

English translation of verse 1.3.24:

The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: O Śiva, O eldest of the demigods, O demigods, hear My words. By My order you and your wives should take birth, by your aṃśa expansions, in the family of the Yadus.
