कोतिशो योजनोर्ध्वं वै
पुराणाम् अष्टकं गताः
दिव्य-प्रकर-रत्नादि-
द्रुम-वृन्द-मनोहरम्
kotiśo yojanordhvaṃ vai
purāṇām aṣṭakaṃ gatāḥ
divya-prakara-ratnādi-
druma-vṛnda-manoharam
kotiśaḥ—millions; yojana—or yojanas; ūrdhvam—above; vai—certainly; purāṇām—of cities; aṣṭakam—a group of eight; gatāḥ—went; divya-prakara—glistening; ratna—jewels; ādi—beginning with; druma—of trees; vṛnda—groups; manoharam—charming.

Millions of yojanas higher they came to eight cities charming with glistening jewel-forest groves.
