श्री-कृष्ण-दासस्य च दास-दासः
कदा भवेयं मनसार्द्र-चित्तः
यो दुर्लभो देव-वरैः परात्मा
स मे कथं गोचर आदि-देवः
śrī-kṛṣṇa-dāsasya ca dāsa-dāsaḥ
kadā bhaveyaṃ manasārdra-cittaḥ
yo durlabho deva-varaiḥ parātmā
sa me kathaṃ gocara ādi-devaḥ
śrī-kṛṣṇa—of Śrī Kṛṣṇa; dāsasya—of the servant; ca—and; dāsa—of the servant; dāsaḥ—the servant; kadā—when?; bhaveyam—will I become; manasa—with thoughts; ardra—melting; cittaḥ—his heart; yaḥ—a person who; durlabhaḥ—rare; deva-varaiḥ—by the best of demigods; parātmā—the Supreme Person; saḥ—He; me—of me; katham—whether?; gocare—in the range of perception; ādi—the original; devaḥ—Lord.
English translation of verse 1.1.32:
When, my heart melting with love, will I think "I am the servant of the servants of Śrī Kṛṣṇa's servants?" Will the Supreme Personality of Godhead, whom even the greatest demigods cannot attain, appear before me?
