यदा तीर्थाटनं कुर्वन्
छत-जन्म-तपः-परः
तदा सत्-सङ्गम् एत्याशु
श्री-कृष्णं प्राप्नुयान् नरः
yadā tīrthāṭanaṃ kurvan
chata-janma-tapaḥ-paraḥ
tadā sat-saṅgam etyāśu
śrī-kṛṣṇaṃ prāpnuyān naraḥ
yadā—when; tīrtha—to holy places; āṭanam—journey; kurvan—doing; śata—100; janma—births; tapaḥ—austerities; paraḥ—intent; tadā—then; sat—of devotees; saṅgam—the association; etya—attaining; āśu—quickly; śrī-kṛṣṇam—Śrī Kṛṣṇa; prāpnuyāt—may attain; naraḥ—a human being.
English translation of verse 1.1.31:
When a human being visits many holy places and devotedly performs a hundred years of austerities, he will attain the association of the devotees. Then he will attain Śrī Kṛṣṇa Himself.
