The Garga-samhita Verse 1.1.21, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. येषाम् अन्तर्-गतो विष्णुः
कार्यं कृत्वा विनिर्गतः
नानावेषावतारांश् च
विद्धि राजन् महा-मते

yeṣām antar-gato viṣṇuḥ
kāryaṃ kṛtvā vinirgataḥ
nānāveṣāvatārāṃś ca
viddhi rājan mahā-mate

yeṣām—of whom; antaḥwithin; gataḥgone; viṣṇuḥLord Viṣṇu; kāryam—mission; kṛtvā—having done; vinirgataḥdeparts; nānāvarious; āveṣa-avatārān—āveśa incarnations; ca—also; viddhi—please know; rājanO king; mahā-mate—great heart.

English translation of verse 1.1.21:

O great soul, O king, please know that in the various āveśa incarnations Lord Viṣṇu enters (a jīva), executes His mission, and then departs.
