The Garga-samhita Verse 1.1.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 1 (Description of Shri-Krishna’s Glories) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-शौनक उवाच
सतां पर्यटनं धन्यं
गृहिनां शान्तये स्मृतम्
नृणाम् अन्तस् तमो-हारी
साधुर् एव न भास्करः

śrī-śaunaka uvāca
satāṃ paryaṭanaṃ dhanyaṃ
gṛhināṃ śāntaye smṛtam
nṛṇām antas tamo-hārī
sādhur eva na bhāskaraḥ

śrī-śaunakaḥ uvāca—Śrī Śaunaka said; satām—of the saintly devotees; paryaṭanam—wandering; dhanyam—good fortune; gṛhinām—of the householders; śāntaye—for peace; smṛtam—remembered; nṛṇām—of men; antaḥof the heart; tamaḥ—darkness; hārīremoving; sādhuḥ—a saintly devotee; eva—certainly; na—not; bhāskaraḥ—the sun.

English translation of verse 1.1.6:

Śrī Śaunaka said: The auspicious travels of saintly devotees bring peace to they who stay at home. It is a saintly devotee, and not the sun, the removes the darkness in people's hearts.
