Comparative analysis of commentaries and excerpts in English:

[Dṛk, Smṛti and Āpohana]

Jñāna Śakti consists of the form of Jñāna (Knowledge / experience), Smṛti (memory) and Āpohana (reasoning faculty). Knowledge is Experience. Variety of experiences occur through the contact of ten sensory organs and their respective objects. This creates differing knowledge in the experiencer depending upon the Place and Time. Experience gives rise to memory in accordance with the variety of Knowledge acquired. On the other hand knowledge born of Nature is Bhava (existence/idea). “This and That” in Jñāna have eternal relation. Smṛti is born by setting aside the Experience.[1] Vikalpa (Āpohana)[2] is Mātṛkārūpā Śabda. This Vikalpa is of two types- Śuddha and Aśuddha. Śuddha vikalpa is not confined to Aṇu as it is the Nirvikalpa Śaktisvarūpā. That which limits knowledge is the Aśuddha Vikalpa. Here the process is Experience First, then after a moment Memory then reasoning. As per the type of Vikalpa the experience is reflected by Memory as regular or irregular.
