निस्तरङ्गजलधिक्रमा स्थिता कालि धाम्नि तव भेदघस्मरे ।
दिव्ययोनिरिह स्वस्वरूपिणी निःस्वभाव उदयः परस्तव ॥ १५४ ॥

nistaraṅgajaladhikramā sthitā kāli dhāmni tava bhedaghasmare |
divyayoniriha svasvarūpiṇī niḥsvabhāva udayaḥ parastava || 154 ||

All the multitude forms of Śakti in Sṛṣṭi are consumed at the stage of Laya[1], into Śakti’s abode of Cidgagana, which equals a calm ocean called the Divyayoni (Mahat). This is Śakti’s real nature. In Śṛṣṭi, she spreads her power out of this calm state, which is against her nature.
