Cidgaganacandrika 83 [Adya Vimarsha Shakti is Kshetrapala], English comparative study extracted from the two available commentaries—the Divyacakorika and the Kramaprakashika. The Cidgagana-candrika is an important Tantric work belonging to the Krama system of Kashmir Shaivism. Written by Kalidasa (Shrivatsa) in 312 Sanskrit verses, it deals with the knowledge regarding both the Macrocosmic and Microcosmic phenomena

विश्वसंहरणलीलयोत्कटं व्योम्नि शश्वदुदितं निराश्रये ।
क्षेत्रपालमनुपाधिकोल्लसत् त्वद्विमर्शमभिनन्दतीश्वरे ॥ ८३ ॥

viśvasaṃharaṇalīlayotkaṭaṃ vyomni śaśvaduditaṃ nirāśraye |
kṣetrapālamanupādhikollasat tvadvimarśamabhinandatīśvare || 83 ||

[Ādyā Vimarśa Śakti is Kṣetrapāla]

Parā is beyond the knowledge level where the knowledge, knower and known culminate into oneness. Parā which is Kṣetrapāla- Ātmā takes three further forms (Paśyantī, Madhyamā and Vaikharī) constituting the base for emanation. Parā who causes resonance in the Anāhata region is Paśyantī. Her form of Madhyamā with descriminating Buddhi and everactive Manas creates and maintains the universe, as the Jagat-cālaka, The Varṇa s consisting of sixty-four letters in conjunction in different forms becomes Vaikharī which completes the creation. In deluge the process gets reversed from Vaikharī to Parā. At the Nirvikalpakasamādhi state where there is no activity, then she is called Anākhya, who bestows the union of Kṣetrapāla[1] (Sādhaka’s Ātmā) with Śiva.
