Comparative analysis of commentaries and excerpts in English:

[Misconception removed]

When the Āṇavamala is dispelled by Kāli’s grace like the snow or darkness dispelled by the lustre of the Sun the awareness comes through the vision or conception that Kāli is at the root of all actions(karmas) or at the root of all external sense perceptions, or the perceptions themselves. The realization dawns now as nothing is done by himself and all his actions in the form of the three fold karma—past, present and future, result through the different vāsanās or attachments, influenced by the illusion. Thus the Āṇavamala is destroyed.[1]

Śakti’s grace dispels Āṇavamala

Due to the effect of Māyā, the limitation is imposed on the Sādhaka in the form of three fold karmas, past, present and future, resulting out of the Vāsanās (kārmic imprints causing the present behaviour of a person.). Śakti’s grace[2] dwells upon the Sādhaka, like the lustre of the Sun, and by giving the right knowledge advocated in the form of Mahāvākyas (tattvamasyādi) dispels Avidyā which is the darkness imposed as Āṇavamala upon the all-pervasive Jīvāśiva.
