Verse 5.1.6

अथ ह प्राणा अहंश्रेयसि व्यूदिरेऽहंश्रेयानस्म्यहं श्रेयानस्मीति ॥ ५.१.६ ॥

atha ha prāṇā ahaṃśreyasi vyūdire'haṃśreyānasmyahaṃ śreyānasmīti || 5.1.6 ||

6. Once the sense organs began to quarrel among themselves, each one claiming it was supreme. They each said, ‘I am the best. I am the best’.

Atha ha, once; prāṇāḥ, the sense organs; vyūdire, began to quarrel [among themselves]; aham-śreyasi, each thinking it was the best; aham śreyān asmi aham śreyān asmi iti, saying, ‘I am the best, I am the best.’
