The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.668, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 668 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.5.668:

‘কার পদাতিক আসিযাছে কোথা হৈতে’ এত ভাবি’ সে-দিন গেলাঙ সেই-মতে ॥ ৬৬৮ ॥

‘कार पदातिक आसियाछे कोथा हैते’ एत भावि’ से-दिन गेलाङ सेइ-मते ॥ ६६८ ॥

‘kāra padātika āsiyāche kothā haite’ eta bhāvi’ se-dina gelāṅa sei-mate || 668 ||

‘kara padatika asiyache kotha haite’ eta bhavi’ se-dina gelana sei-mate (668)

English translation:

(668) “We thought that the soldiers had come from another place. Thinking like this, we returned home that night.
