The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.665, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 665 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.5.665:

একেক পদাতিক যেন মত্ত-হস্তি-প্রায আজানু-লম্বিত মালা সবার গলায ॥ ৬৬৫ ॥

एकेक पदातिक येन मत्त-हस्ति-प्राय आजानु-लम्बित माला सबार गलाय ॥ ६६५ ॥

ekeka padātika yena matta-hasti-prāya ājānu-lambita mālā sabāra galāya || 665 ||

ekeka padatika yena matta-hasti-praya ajanu-lambita mala sabara galaya (665)

English translation:

(665) “Each soldier was as powerful as a mad elephant. They were all decorated with garlands that reached down to their knees.
