The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.588, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 588 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.5.588:

অতএব পদাতিক সকল ভাবক এই সে কারণে ‘হরি হরি’ করে জপ ॥ ৫৮৮ ॥

अतएव पदातिक सकल भावक एइ से कारणे ‘हरि हरि’ करे जप ॥ ५८८ ॥

ataeva padātika sakala bhāvaka ei se kāraṇe ‘hari hari’ kare japa || 588 ||

ataeva padatika sakala bhavaka ei se karane ‘hari hari’ kare japa (588)

English translation:

(588) “Those soldiers are all sentimental, and therefore they chant the name of Hari.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word bhāvaka is generally spelled bhāvuka, which means “sentimental.”
