The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.535, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 535 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.5.535:

হিরণ্য-পণ্ডিত-নামে এক সুব্রাহ্মণ সেই নবদ্বীপে বৈসে—মহা-অকিঞ্চন ॥ ৫৩৫ ॥

हिरण्य-पण्डित-नामे एक सुब्राह्मण सेइ नवद्वीपे वैसे—महा-अकिञ्चन ॥ ५३५ ॥

hiraṇya-paṇḍita-nāme eka subrāhmaṇa sei navadvīpe vaise—mahā-akiñcana || 535 ||

hiranya-pandita-name eka subrahmana sei navadvipe vaise—maha-akincana (535)

English translation:

(535) In Navadvīpa there lived one qualified brāhmaṇa named Hiraṇya Paṇḍita, who had no material assets.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

One symptom of a qualified brāhmaṇa is freedom from material possessions.
