The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.395, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 395 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

সেই গ্রামে কাজীআছে পরম দুর্বার কীর্তনের প্রতি দ্বেষ করযে অপার ॥ ৩৯৫ ॥

सेइ ग्रामे काजीआछे परम दुर्बार कीर्तनेर प्रति द्वेष करये अपार ॥ ३९५ ॥

sei grāme kājīāche parama durbāra kīrtanera prati dveṣa karaye apāra || 395 ||

sei grame kajiache parama durbara kirtanera prati dvesa karaye apara (395)

English translation:

(395) There was a most sinful Kazi living in that village. He strongly opposed the performance of kīrtana.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

In that village of Eṅḍiyādaha there lived a most powerful Kazi who was greatly inimical to religious principles and who strongly opposed the congregational glorification of Hari.
