The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.247, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 247 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.5.247:

পুনঃ পথ জিজ্ঞাসা করযে লোক-স্থানে লোক বলে,—“পথ রহে দশ ক্রোশ বামে” ॥ ২৪৭ ॥

पुनः पथ जिज्ञासा करये लोक-स्थाने लोक बले,—“पथ रहे दश क्रोश वामे” ॥ २४७ ॥

punaḥ patha jijñāsā karaye loka-sthāne loka bale,—“patha rahe daśa krośa vāme” || 247 ||

punah patha jijnasa karaye loka-sthane loka bale,—“patha rahe dasa krosa vame” (247)

English translation:

(247) Again they would ask some people, who would reply, “The proper path is twenty miles to the left.”
