The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.50, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 50 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.5.50-051:

শ্রীবাস বলেন,—“এই দঢান আমার তিন উপবাসে যদি না মিলে আহার তবে সত্য কহোঙ্ঘট বান্ধিযা গলায প্রবেশ করিমু মুঞি সর্বথা গঙ্গায” ॥ ৫০-০৫১ ॥

श्रीवास बलेन,—“एइ दढान आमार तिन उपवासे यदि ना मिले आहार तबे सत्य कहोङ्घट बान्धिया गलाय प्रवेश करिमु मुञि सर्वथा गङ्गाय” ॥ ५०-०५१ ॥

śrīvāsa balena,—“ei daḍhāna āmāra tina upavāse yadi nā mile āhāra tabe satya kahoṅghaṭa bāndhiyā galāya praveśa karimu muñi sarvathā gaṅgāya” || 50-051 ||

srivasa balena,—“ei dadhana amara tina upavase yadi na mile ahara tabe satya kahonghata bandhiya galaya pravesa karimu muni sarvatha gangaya” (50-051)

English translation:

(50-051) Śrīvāsa replied, “This is my firm conviction. If I do not receive food for three days, then, I tell You the truth, I will tie a pot to my neck and drown myself in the Ganges.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word daḍhāna means “fixed determination.”
