The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.43, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 43 of Antya-khanda chapter 5—“The Pastimes of Nityananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.5.43:

প্রভু বলে,—“তবে তুমি করহ সন্ন্যাস” “তাহা না পারিব মুঞি”বলেন শ্রীবাস ॥ ৪৩ ॥

प्रभु बले,—“तबे तुमि करह सन्न्यास” “ताहा ना पारिब मुञि”बलेन श्रीवास ॥ ४३ ॥

prabhu bale,—“tabe tumi karaha sannyāsa” “tāhā nā pāriba muñi”balena śrīvāsa || 43 ||

prabhu bale,—“tabe tumi karaha sannyasa” “taha na pariba muni”balena srivasa (43)

English translation:

(43) The Lord then said, “Then you should take sannyāsa,” and Śrīvāsa replied, “I cannot do that.”
