The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.3.165, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 165 of Antya-khanda chapter 3—“Mahaprabhu’s Deliverance of Sarvabhauma, Exhibition of His Six-armed Form, and Journey to Bengal”.

চন্দন-মালায পরিপূর্ণ কলেবর মত্ত-সিংহ জিনি’ গতি মন্থর সুন্দর ॥ ১৬৫ ॥

चन्दन-मालाय परिपूर्ण कलेवर मत्त-सिंह जिनि’ गति मन्थर सुन्दर ॥ १६५ ॥

candana-mālāya paripūrṇa kalevara matta-siṃha jini’ gati manthara sundara || 165 ||

candana-malaya paripurna kalevara matta-simha jini’ gati manthara sundara (165)

English translation:

(165) His entire body was decorated with sandalwood paste and flower garlands, and His sweet slow gait was like that of an intoxicated lion.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

In the Mahābhārata (Dāna-dharma 149) it is stated: suvarṇa-varṇo hemāṅgo varāṅgaś candanāṅgadī—“In His early pastimes He appears as a householder with a golden complexion. His limbs are beautiful, and His body, smeared with the pulp of sandalwood, seems like molten gold.”
