The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.2.489, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 489 of Antya-khanda chapter 2—“Description of the Lord’s Travel Through Bhuvaneshvara and Other Placesto Jagannatha Puri”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.2.489:

ভাগ্যে আমি আজি না ধরিলুঙ্ জগন্নাথ তবে ত’ সঙ্কট আজি হৈত আমা’ত” ॥ ৪৮৯ ॥

भाग्ये आमि आजि ना धरिलुङ् जगन्नाथ तबे त’ सङ्कट आजि हैत आमा’त” ॥ ४८९ ॥

bhāgye āmi āji nā dhariluṅ jagannātha tabe ta’ saṅkaṭa āji haita āmā’ta” || 489 ||

bhagye ami aji na dharilun jagannatha tabe ta’ sankata aji haita ama’ta” (489)

English translation:

(489) “It was fortunate that I did not grab Jagannātha today. If I had done so, I would be in trouble.”
