Verse 3.2.352-353

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 3.2.352-353:

“তোমার অধীন প্রভু, সকল সংসার স্বতন্ত্র হৈতে শক্তি আছযে কাহার পবনে চালায যেন সূক্ষ্ম তৃণ-গণ এই মত অস্বতন্ত্র সকল ভুবন ॥ ৩৫২-৩৫৩ ॥

“तोमार अधीन प्रभु, सकल संसार स्वतन्त्र हैते शक्ति आछये काहार पवने चालाय येन सूक्ष्म तृण-गण एइ मत अस्वतन्त्र सकल भुवन ॥ ३५२-३५३ ॥

“tomāra adhīna prabhu, sakala saṃsāra svatantra haite śakti āchaye kāhāra pavane cālāya yena sūkṣma tṛṇa-gaṇa ei mata asvatantra sakala bhuvana || 352-353 ||

“tomara adhina prabhu, sakala samsara svatantra haite sakti achaye kahara pavane calaya yena suksma trna-gana ei mata asvatantra sakala bhuvana (352-353)

English translation:

(352-353) “O Lord, the entire world is under Your control. Who has the power to become independent? The people of the entire world are controlled by You like dry grass is carried by the wind.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

In the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (10.63.44) it is stated:

taṃ tvā jagat-sthity-udayānta-hetuṃ samaṃ prasāntaṃ suhṛd-ātma-daivam ananyam ekaṃ jagad-ātma-ketaṃ bhavāpavargāya bhajāma devam

“Let us worship You, the Supreme Lord, to be freed from material life. You are the maintainer of the universe and the cause of its creation and demise. Equipoised and perfectly at peace, You are the true friend, Self,

and worshipable Lord. You are one without a second, the shelter of all the worlds and all souls.” One should also discuss the Mahābhārata, Śānti- parva, Chapter 43, verse 16 and Anuśāsana-parva, Chapters 147-148. In the Kaṭha Upaniṣad (2.2.8 and 2.3.1) it is stated: tasmin lokāḥśritāḥ sarve tad u nātyeti kaścana—“In Him all the worlds are situated. No one can surpass Him.”
