The Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.2.64, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 64 of Antya-khanda chapter 2—“Description of the Lord’s Travel Through Bhuvaneshvara and Other Placesto Jagannatha Puri”.

পূর্বে ভগীরথ করি’ গঙ্গা-আরাধন গঙ্গা আনিলেন বংশ-উদ্ধার-কারণ ॥ ৬৪ ॥

पूर्वे भगीरथ करि’ गङ्गा-आराधन गङ्गा आनिलेन वंश-उद्धार-कारण ॥ ६४ ॥

pūrve bhagīratha kari’ gaṅgā-ārādhana gaṅgā ānilena vaṃśa-uddhāra-kāraṇa || 64 ||

purve bhagiratha kari’ ganga-aradhana ganga anilena vamsa-uddhara-karana (64)

English translation:

(64) Previously Bhagiratha worshiped the Ganges and brought her to this world to deliver his forefathers.
