The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.26.142, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 142 of Madhya-khanda chapter 26—“Descriptions of the Mercy Bestowed on Shuklambara and Vijay and the Lord’s Desire to Accept Sannyasa”.

শুনি’ নিত্যানন্দ শ্রী-শিখার অন্তর্ধান অন্তরে বিদীর্ণ হৈল মন-দেহ-প্রাণ ॥ ১৪২ ॥

शुनि’ नित्यानन्द श्री-शिखार अन्तर्धान अन्तरे विदीर्ण हैल मन-देह-प्राण ॥ १४२ ॥

śuni’ nityānanda śrī-śikhāra antardhāna antare vidīrṇa haila mana-deha-prāṇa || 142 ||

suni’ nityananda sri-sikhara antardhana antare vidirna haila mana-deha-prana (142)

English translation:

(142) Nityānanda’s mind, body, and life airs were shattered when He heard that the Lord would shave His head.
