The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.26.128, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 128 of Madhya-khanda chapter 26—“Descriptions of the Mercy Bestowed on Shuklambara and Vijay and the Lord’s Desire to Accept Sannyasa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.26.128:

ভাল সে আইলাঙ আমি জগত তারিতে তারণ নহিল, আমি আইলুঙ্ সংহারিতে ॥ ১২৮ ॥

भाल से आइलाङ आमि जगत तारिते तारण नहिल, आमि आइलुङ् संहारिते ॥ १२८ ॥

bhāla se āilāṅa āmi jagata tārite tāraṇa nahila, āmi āiluṅ saṃhārite || 128 ||

bhala se ailana ami jagata tarite tarana nahila, ami ailun samharite (128)

English translation:

(128) “I came to deliver the living entities of this world. I could not deliver them, and it appears that I came to destroy them.
