The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.26.101, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 101 of Madhya-khanda chapter 26—“Descriptions of the Mercy Bestowed on Shuklambara and Vijay and the Lord’s Desire to Accept Sannyasa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.26.101:

সম্ভ্রমে জিজ্ঞাসে সবে ভযেরে কারণ “কি জিজ্ঞাস আজি ভাগ্যে রহিল জীবন ॥ ১০১ ॥

सम्भ्रमे जिज्ञासे सबे भयेरे कारण “कि जिज्ञास आजि भाग्ये रहिल जीवन ॥ १०१ ॥

sambhrame jijñāse sabe bhayere kāraṇa “ki jijñāsa āji bhāgye rahila jīvana || 101 ||

sambhrame jijnase sabe bhayere karana “ki jijnasa aji bhagye rahila jivana (101)

English translation:

(101) They all anxiously asked him why he was frightened, and he replied, “Don’t ask. Today I’m lucky to still be alive.
