The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.26.30, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 30 of Madhya-khanda chapter 26—“Descriptions of the Mercy Bestowed on Shuklambara and Vijay and the Lord’s Desire to Accept Sannyasa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.26.30:

যে প্রসাদ পাযেন ভিক্ষুক শুক্লাম্বর দেখুক অভক্ত যত পাপী কোটীশ্বর ॥ ৩০ ॥

ये प्रसाद पायेन भिक्षुक शुक्लाम्बर देखुक अभक्त यत पापी कोटीश्वर ॥ ३० ॥

ye prasāda pāyena bhikṣuka śuklāmbara dekhuka abhakta yata pāpī koṭīśvara || 30 ||

ye prasada payena bhiksuka suklambara dekhuka abhakta yata papi kotisvara (30)

English translation:

(30) Let the sinful, nondevotee millionaires see the mercy that the beggar Śuklāmbara received.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

It is not true that if one has hundreds of millions of dollars one can feed the Supreme Lord. The poverty-stricken Śuklāmbara satisfied Śrī Gaurasundara with the rice that he collected by begging. Sinful

nondevotees cannot understand these topics.
