The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.23.493, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 493 of Madhya-khanda chapter 23—“Wandering about Navadvipa On the Day the Lord Delivered the Kazi”.

ধনে, জনে, পাণ্ডিত্যে কৃষ্ণেরে নাহি পাই কেবল ভক্তির বশ চৈতন্য গোসাঞি ॥ ৪৯৩ ॥

धने, जने, पाण्डित्ये कृष्णेरे नाहि पाइ केवल भक्तिर वश चैतन्य गोसाञि ॥ ४९३ ॥

dhane, jane, pāṇḍitye kṛṣṇere nāhi pāi kevala bhaktira vaśa caitanya gosāñi || 493 ||

dhane, jane, panditye krsnere nahi pai kevala bhaktira vasa caitanya gosani (493)

English translation:

(493) One cannot attain Kṛṣṇa by wealth, high birth, or scholarship. Lord Caitanya is controlled only by devotional service.
