The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.23.384, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 384 of Madhya-khanda chapter 23—“Wandering about Navadvipa On the Day the Lord Delivered the Kazi”.

যা’র দাডি আছে, সেই হঞা অধোমুখ লাজে মাথা নাহি তোলে, ডরে হালে বুক ॥ ৩৮৪ ॥
या’र दाडि आछे, सेइ हञा अधोमुख लाजे माथा नाहि तोले, डरे हाले बुक ॥ ३८४ ॥
yā’ra dāḍi āche, sei hañā adhomukha lāje māthā nāhi tole, ḍare hāle buka || 384 ||
ya’ra dadi ache, sei hana adhomukha laje matha nahi tole, dare hale buka (384)
English translation:
(384) Those who had beards hung their heads down. They were too embarrassed to raise their heads, and their hearts trembled in fear.
