The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.23.374, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 374 of Madhya-khanda chapter 23—“Wandering about Navadvipa On the Day the Lord Delivered the Kazi”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.23.374:

কেহ বলে,—“বামনের কে আছে কোথায! সেই দুঃখে কাঙ্দে, হেন বুঝি যে সদায” ॥ ৩৭৪ ॥

केह बले,—“वामनेर के आछे कोथाय! सेइ दुःखे काङ्दे, हेन बुझि ये सदाय” ॥ ३७४ ॥

keha bale,—“vāmanera ke āche kothāya! sei duḥkhe kāṅde, hena bujhi ye sadāya” || 374 ||

keha bale,—“vamanera ke ache kothaya! sei duhkhe kande, hena bujhi ye sadaya” (374)

English translation:

(374) Another said, “I think this brāhmaṇa must be missing someone, therefore He always cries in distress.”
