The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.23.298, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 298 of Madhya-khanda chapter 23—“Wandering about Navadvipa On the Day the Lord Delivered the Kazi”.

গঙ্গা-তীরে তীরে পথ আছে নদীযায আগে সেই পথে নাচি যায গৌর-রায ॥ ২৯৮ ॥
गङ्गा-तीरे तीरे पथ आछे नदीयाय आगे सेइ पथे नाचि याय गौर-राय ॥ २९८ ॥
gaṅgā-tīre tīre patha āche nadīyāya āge sei pathe nāci yāya gaura-rāya || 298 ||
ganga-tire tire patha ache nadiyaya age sei pathe naci yaya gaura-raya (298)
English translation:
(298) Lord Gaurāṅga first danced along the path on the bank of the Ganges in Nadia.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The location of the Ganges riverbed during the pastimes of Śrī Gaurasundara has been understood by a few devotees of Yogapīṭha, Śrīdhāma Māyāpur. Even today the remnants of that riverbed can be seen. The Ganges used to flow from the northwest through this riverbed.
Mahāprabhu led the kīrtana party along the path on the side of this riverbed.
