The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.55, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 55 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

সে-সমযে নাহি কিছু প্রভুর প্রকাশ প্রেম-শূন্য জগতে দুঃখিত সব দাস ॥ ৫৫ ॥

से-समये नाहि किछु प्रभुर प्रकाश प्रेम-शून्य जगते दुःखित सब दास ॥ ५५ ॥

se-samaye nāhi kichu prabhura prakāśa prema-śūnya jagate duḥkhita saba dāsa || 55 ||

se-samaye nahi kichu prabhura prakasa prema-sunya jagate duhkhita saba dasa (55)

English translation:

(55) At that time the Lord had not yet revealed Himself, so the entire world was suffering in the absence of love of God.
