The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.40, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 40 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

ভক্তের সঙ্কল্প প্রভু না করে লঙ্ঘন হাসে প্রভু শ্রীবাসের শুনিযা বচন ॥ ৪০ ॥

भक्तेर सङ्कल्प प्रभु ना करे लङ्घन हासे प्रभु श्रीवासेर शुनिया वचन ॥ ४० ॥

bhaktera saṅkalpa prabhu nā kare laṅghana hāse prabhu śrīvāsera śuniyā vacana || 40 ||

bhaktera sankalpa prabhu na kare langhana hase prabhu srivasera suniya vacana (40)

English translation:

(40) The Lord never breaks His devotees’ resolutions. On hearing Śrīvāsa’s words, the Lord simply smiled.
