The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.39, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 39 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.21.39:

যদি তুমি উঠ গিযা মদ্যপের ঘরে প্রবিষ্ট হৈমু মুঞি গঙ্গার ভিতরে” ॥ ৩৯ ॥

यदि तुमि उठ गिया मद्यपेर घरे प्रविष्ट हैमु मुञि गङ्गार भितरे” ॥ ३९ ॥

yadi tumi uṭha giyā madyapera ghare praviṣṭa haimu muñi gaṅgāra bhitare” || 39 ||

yadi tumi utha giya madyapera ghare pravista haimu muni gangara bhitare” (39)

English translation:

(39) “If You enter this tavern, I will give up my life by entering the Ganges.”
