The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.36, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 36 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.21.36:

শ্রীবাস বলযে,—“তুমি জগতের পিতাতুমি ক্ষয করিলে বা কে আর রক্ষিতা? ॥ ৩৬ ॥

श्रीवास बलये,—“तुमि जगतेर पितातुमि क्षय करिले वा के आर रक्षिता? ॥ ३६ ॥

śrīvāsa balaye,—“tumi jagatera pitātumi kṣaya karile vā ke āra rakṣitā? || 36 ||

srivasa balaye,—“tumi jagatera pitatumi ksaya karile va ke ara raksita? (36)

English translation:

(36) Śrīvāsa said, “You are the father of the universe. If You break the religious principles, who will protect them?
