The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.26, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 26 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.21.26:

সর্ব-গুণে দেবানন্দ-পণ্ডিত-সমান পাইতে বিরল বড হেন জ্ঞানবান্ ॥ ২৬ ॥

सर्व-गुणे देवानन्द-पण्डित-समान पाइते विरल बड हेन ज्ञानवान् ॥ २६ ॥

sarva-guṇe devānanda-paṇḍita-samāna pāite virala baḍa hena jñānavān || 26 ||

sarva-gune devananda-pandita-samana paite virala bada hena jnanavan (26)

English translation:

(26) Devānanda Paṇḍita was filled with all good qualities. Such an educated person is very rare.
