The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.21.8, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 8 of Madhya-khanda chapter 21—“The Lord’s Chastisement of Devananda”.

জ্ঞানবন্ত তপস্বীআজন্ম উদাসীন ভাগবত পডায, তথাপি ভক্তি-হীন ॥ ৮ ॥

ज्ञानवन्त तपस्वीआजन्म उदासीन भागवत पडाय, तथापि भक्ति-हीन ॥ ८ ॥

jñānavanta tapasvīājanma udāsīna bhāgavata paḍāya, tathāpi bhakti-hīna || 8 ||

jnanavanta tapasviajanma udasina bhagavata padaya, tathapi bhakti-hina (8)

English translation:

(8) He was intelligent, austere, and neutral since birth. He taught Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, yet he was devoid of devotion.
