Verse 2.20.25

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.20.25:

পবন-কারণে যেন শুষ্ক তৃণ চলে জীবের সকল ধর্ম তোর শক্তি-বলে” ॥ ২৫ ॥

पवन-कारणे येन शुष्क तृण चले जीवेर सकल धर्म तोर शक्ति-बले” ॥ २५ ॥

pavana-kāraṇe yena śuṣka tṛṇa cale jīvera sakala dharma tora śakti-bale” || 25 ||

pavana-karane yena suska trna cale jivera sakala dharma tora sakti-bale” (25)

English translation:

(25) “As a blade of dry grass is blown in the wind, all living entities act on the strength of Your potencies.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Since dry grass is relatively lighter, it is easily blown by the wind. In the same way, the Supreme Lord’s potencies, which are the basis of everything, control the activities of all living entities.
