The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.19.53, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 53 of Madhya-khanda chapter 19—“The Lord’s Pastimes in Advaita’s House”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.19.53:

ধন-বর দিল আমি পরম সন্তোষে কোথা গেল উপকার, আরো আমা’ দোষে!” ॥ ৫৩ ॥

धन-वर दिल आमि परम सन्तोषे कोथा गेल उपकार, आरो आमा’ दोषे!” ॥ ५३ ॥

dhana-vara dila āmi parama santoṣe kothā gela upakāra, āro āmā’ doṣe!” || 53 ||

dhana-vara dila ami parama santose kotha gela upakara, aro ama’ dose!” (53)

English translation:

(53) “I happily awarded Him the benediction of wealth, and what to speak of appreciating it, He found fault in me!”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

“I happily gave this son of a brāhmaṇa the benediction, `May You achieve wealth,’ but rather than feel grateful, He condemned me. This is certainly the work of Kali!”
