The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.16.44, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 44 of Madhya-khanda chapter 16—“The Lord’s Acceptance of Shuklambara’s Rice”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.16.44:

সাক্ষাতে না পারে প্রভু করিযাছে রাগ তথাপিহ চুরি করে চরণ-পরাগ ॥ ৪৪ ॥

साक्षाते ना पारे प्रभु करियाछे राग तथापिह चुरि करे चरण-पराग ॥ ४४ ॥

sākṣāte nā pāre prabhu kariyāche rāga tathāpiha curi kare caraṇa-parāga || 44 ||

saksate na pare prabhu kariyache raga tathapiha curi kare carana-paraga (44)

English translation:

(44) He was unable to do so directly, however, for the Lord would become angry. Yet He sometimes stole the dust from the Lord’s feet.
