The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.13.265, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 265 of Madhya-khanda chapter 13—“The Deliverance of Jagai and Madhai”.

বেদ-সত্য স্থাপিতে তোমার অবতার মিথ্যা হয বেদ তবে, না কৈলে উদ্ধার ॥ ২৬৫ ॥
वेद-सत्य स्थापिते तोमार अवतार मिथ्या हय वेद तबे, ना कैले उद्धार ॥ २६५ ॥
veda-satya sthāpite tomāra avatāra mithyā haya veda tabe, nā kaile uddhāra || 265 ||
veda-satya sthapite tomara avatara mithya haya veda tabe, na kaile uddhara (265)
English translation:
(265) “You incarnate to establish the truth of the Vedas. If You do not deliver the living entities, then the words of the Vedas become false.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
“We are sinful living entities. The topics of our deliverance by the chanting of the transcendental holy names are described in the Vedic literatures. You incarnate to establish this truth. If You do not deliver us, then Buddhist, Jain, and other communities opposed to the Vedas will think that the knowledge of sambandha, abhidheya, and prayojana is
`false.’”
