The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.13.93, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 93 of Madhya-khanda chapter 13—“The Deliverance of Jagai and Madhai”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.13.93:

নিত্যানন্দ বলে,—“ভাল হৈল বৈষ্ণব আজি যদি প্রাণ বাঞ্চে—তবে পাই সব” ॥ ৯৩ ॥

नित्यानन्द बले,—“भाल हैल वैष्णव आजि यदि प्राण वाञ्चे—तबे पाइ सब” ॥ ९३ ॥

nityānanda bale,—“bhāla haila vaiṣṇava āji yadi prāṇa vāñce—tabe pāi saba” || 93 ||

nityananda bale,—“bhala haila vaisnava aji yadi prana vance—tabe pai saba” (93)

English translation:

(93) Nityānanda said, “We thought it would be good to turn them into Vaisnavas, but we will be lucky if we survive today.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Nityānanda said, “Leave far aside any idea that by giving Kṛṣṇa’s instructions to Jagāi and Mādhāi they will become Vaiṣṇavas, it will be good if we can protect ourselves from their invincible attack.”
